Originally from Laguna Beach, California, I have always enjoyed a creative approach to problem solving. After relentless scolding from middle school teachers for doodling on the back of tests instead of taking them, I auditioned and enrolled in Orange County School of the Arts, specializing in Visual Arts and Theatre. I combined both interests by concentrating on Production Design, creating sets, costumes and sound for various staged performances.
I traded in my flip flops to attend Syracuse University in arguably the coldest city in the United States. I enrolled in the highly competitive Communications Design Program, where our interdisciplinary studies were modeled on a professional practice and explored arenas within the worlds of advertising, business and communications. I held various leadership roles including President of our AIGA chapter and the Leadership Residential Community, Social Chair of my fraternity and Communications Director of my improv team. Since graduation, I have fed my ongoing desire for learning beyond personal studies by enrolling in courses in front end web development and user experience design.
My interests beyond design include freehand drawing, exploring the city, and drinking too much coffee.
